ORU and Hagee seek national influence
Just getting started here but wish to refer readers to my article at www.ethicsdaily.com on ORU and family. The story left out my account of the cartoon David Barton had up at his rally in Lufkin, Texas. It was a drawing with a black man with huge lips surrounded by two men holding guns to his head. The two men were Democrats telling the man who to vote for. This "black history moment" was just one of many Barton sought to convey to the audenice. Among others was that Democrats voted against civil rights and lynching laws. The city of Lufkin sent out an apology letter to every church in the area after the meeting. There was also the story of Oral Robert's theology of God as a hit man who would take Oral out if he did not raise a few million dollars. I also suggested that the story that Richard Roberts sent out ORU students to aid GOP candidates will only cause more giving to the family.
